Having played the lead role in her first film with Robert Bresson, and after three fortuitous and fruitless meetings with Jean-Luc Godard, one day in June 1966 Anne Wiazemsky wrote Godard a letter in which she told him that she had like his last film, Masculine Feminine, very much, and that she loved the man that she found behind it, that she loved him. A few days later, Godard visits the young nineteen year old.
